Substitute Teacher

Hours: 8:00–2:30 M–F  •  Pay: $25/hour

Job Summary

AIA is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for possible part-time substitute teaching assignments. Assignments may include one or multiple days. Substitutes who qualify can be called upon should there be a need.

Duties

  • Teach Grades K-6 in subjects such as ELA, Social Studies, Science, and Math.
  • Provide instruction in accordance with established class and grade outlines and expectations.
  • Follow step-by-step lesson plans provided by the teacher.
  • Possess both depth and range of knowledge in major subject areas.
  • Use multiple teaching methods that include critical thinking and problem-solving strategies.
  • Adhere to AIA academic requirements and standards, with special emphasis on safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Grade-level classroom teaching experience.
AIA Opportunity

Cleaner / Janitor

Hours: 11:00–3:00 M–F  •  Pay: $16.5/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner/Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will
be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various school facilities and offices,
ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all students and staff. This role requires attention to
detail and a strong work ethic, as you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks.

Duties

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
  • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
  • Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
  • Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition.

Skills

  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or custodial roles is preferred.
  • Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
