AIA was founded by a group of dedicated community members who realized and volunteered to address the need for having a well-founded Islamic school in Fresno.

As a newly established school, we are currently focused on building a strong foundation and providing an excellent educational experience for our students.
AIA team is committed to pursuing accreditation in the near future (utilizing the skills and experience of our qualified staff).

AIA is a non-profit organization that is funded solely through tuition fees and generous donations from the community.

Academics and Curriculum

For Academics, AIA follow s a Curriculum that aligns with California state standards (Common Core).
Our Islamic studies curriculum focuses on character building through Qur'an memorization, studying Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic history, using age-appropriate materials.

Islamic values are integrated into all aspects of the school day, from daily morning assembly and Athkaar to character building through regular discussions.
AIA strives to establish a positive and nurturing environment that fosters Islamic teachings.

Admission and Enrollment

The admission process requires filling in an online application form, providing required documents, such as birth certificate, immunization records, and previous school records “if applicable”.

Tuition for the [2025-2026] school year is $550.00 per month for the first child in the family, for 10 months. $500.00 per month for every additional sibling. AIA offers flexible payment plans. Also, limited financial aid applications for qualifying families will be secured.

AIA will initially accept students in kindergarten through 5th grade, with plans to expand to middle school in the future.

AIA team strives to offer all grade levels till middle school. Yet, Class formation depends on enrollments of students.
In cases of low enrollment in a specific grade, we may consider combining two grades or working with families to find a better solution.

School Environment and Practical Matters

AIA mainly follows Fresno Unified School District academic year with minor modification that suits Islamic occasions, with breaks for holidays and summer vacation. The detailed calendar will be available on AIA website later (click here).

AIA is entrusted to prioritize the safety and security of our students. Security measures such as secured entrances, visitor's check-in procedures, and security cameras. In addition, students and staff will be trained on how to react during hazardous situations through different drills, such as fire drill, lock-down drill, earthquake drill, etc.

We maintain open communication methods with parents through regular email updates, monthly newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and our school website.

AIA encourages parents' involvement and honors their contributions to guarantee the school's best performance.
There will be opportunities for qualified parents - after conducting background security clearance - to volunteer in different capacities, such as helping teachers at the classrooms, taking part in school events' planning, monitoring students on different occasions, and joining the parent-teacher association (PTA).

Religious Practices and Community:

Yes, AIA daily schedule will allocate 15 minutes for Dhuhr prayer Monday through Thursday and 30 minutes for Friday prayer. Students of all grades will participate in prayers (Salah) in a designated prayer area.
